Up Master Pilot Cockpit Development

Flight Simulation \Flight Controls\Master Pilot

The Quick Shot Master Pilot QS-5600 is a replica of a modern fighter aircraft MFD (Multi-Function Display).  The unit can be programmed to emulate keyboard button-presses - vastly improving the flight simulation experience.

Unfortunately - these units are getting harder and harder to find - however they still can be found at reasonable prices - and occasionally used units turn up on eBay.

It features 28 programmable buttons (26 buttons + 2-way "paddle") - differently programmable for up to 5 different *modes*- for a total of 140 different commands / game set-up!

While the unit comes with very simple and easy to learn programming software - check out the "Fox Three" website to download a copy of James "Nutty" Hallows (of Foxy fame for all Thrustmaster sticks) excellent Master Pilot programming utility.  The ability to print out your own, customized button-configuration cards is indispensable!

The MP has a removable "Program Cartridge" (think of the OLD Atari game consoles!  ;-)  ) - each of which can store 5 different game / command sets.  Switching "game mode" or "game program" is done via pushbuttons (ie. hardware) directly on the front of the unit.

WARNING:  The programming unit ONLY works with 66 Mhz FSB motherboards - or SLOWER.  So you will need an older PC hanging around for programming chores - some folks have reported success by booting PC into *Safe Mode* - where the FSB then runs at a slower clock rate - buyer beware!
